Cross Country
Last week the school cross country was held at English Park. Room 18 had been practising their running at fitness time each day and some had been running in the weekend too.
They all gave it there best at the event. What great running from all of you!!

To Be The Best That You Can Be!!

Over the last couple of weeks, room 18 have been discussing what quality work is. Last week, we chose two pieces of work: our best work and a piece of work we were not proud of. We wrote comments about each and Miss Campbell took pictures to accompany our published writing.

The first thing we did was look through our books to find our two pieces of work.

We used 'talking partners' to discuss our choices. Afterwards, we shared what our partner had said with the rest of the class.

Oderings Trip
Thank you to all the parents and grandparents for helping transport us over to Oderings Nursery and assisting with group supervision.

We all enjoyed learning about plants from Mr Oderings. He showed us how...
  • technology is used in a nursery today.
  • to plant seeds and plants by hand.
  • to plant the vegetable plants we had chosen.
We were lucky that we were the last group because he showed us around the nursery. There were venus fly traps and a plant that closed its leaves for half an hour when touched.
